Mixed Practice Veterinarian(2+ Years Experience)

Monto Veterinary Group – Based in Mundubbera

Monto Veterinary Group is looking for a mixed practice vet (2+ years’ experience) to take the reins at our Mundubbera clinic.

This position offers a unique blend of independence and support, ideal for a veterinarian ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in a rural community clinic.

About Us

We’re a 6 vet progressive and well-equipped mixed animal practice serving a broad and loyal client base across the beautiful North Burnett region of QLD. Our days are never the same - we might be vaccinating a beloved family dog in the morning, get called to a calving by lunchtime and performing equine dentals in the afternoon. Our clinic thrives because our team loves what they do, and they have each other’s backs every single day.

We take pride in the way we work together. Here's what sets us apart:
  • A team-first culture where camaraderie, laughter, and clinical curiosity go hand-in-hand. We support each other, celebrate wins, and never take ourselves too seriously.
  • Genuine mentorship and collaboration - no matter what stage you are at in your career, we are a super supportive team and you'll always have someone to bounce ideas off and back you up.
  • A healthy respect for work-life balance. We believe your downtime is sacred-because rested vets are better vets. We welcome a 4 day working week.
  • Open communication is our superpower. Regular team meetings, vet meetings, clinical case discussions and training sessions ensure no one’s ever out of the loop.
  • A true mixed practice experience. With a 60:40 large-to-small animal ratio, you’ll see it all-and we’re happy to tailor your caseload to suit your interests and strengths.
  • A passion for reproduction. From AI and TCI to embryo transfer, we’re well-equipped in the breeding world-canine, equine, and bovine. If reproduction sets your heart racing, we’ll put you right in the thick of it.
  • Our vets are BULLCHECK & PREGCHECK accredited and we have examiners in house who are keen to upskill you.

What's in it for You?

  • All the gear you need-and then some, including your own fully equipped farm service vehicles. We have a full suite of in-house diagnostics including Imagyst Cytology, multiple species-specific ultrasounds, digital X-rays, equine gastroscope, IM3 dental equipment, in house orthopaedics, power floats, a mobile vet crush, Lane's pulsators and microscopes with phase contrast or choose to use our androscope.
  • Tech-savvy and future-focused. We embrace the power of AI and smart tools to streamline workflows and take the pressure off your day.
  • A competitive salary well above award, plus relocation support to help you settle in with ease. Its not about money, it's about value.
  • Flexible rostering and genuine respect for your time. We're serious about preventing burnout-because your wellbeing is just as important as your work.
  • Ongoing professional development with CPD support, so you can keep learning, growing, and staying inspired. We pay AVA membership, encourage SIG membership and offer 1 week conference leave per annum.
  • A culture that actually lives its values (they are actually up on our wall!). We work hard, laugh harder, and always aim high.
